Tyler Brooks is a Cyber Security Exercise Developer who works with members of the United States Military to certify and improve their offensive and defensive cyber capabilities. Tyler works closely with some of our nation's best cyber defenders to develop and execute high-fidelity exercises, keeping our armed forces at the cutting edge of cyber security.
During his BS in Information Science and MS in Security Assured Information Systems at the University of Pittsburgh, Tyler found a passion for teaching while tutoring, acting as a TA for multiple undergraduate and graduate courses, and working with an interdisciplinary team of students to provide consulting for the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Innovation and Performance.
Since finishing his MSIS, Tyler has continued to explore his desire to be an educator, accepting a role as Undergraduate Adjunct Faculty and appearing as a permanent guest lecture in multiple Cyber Security Law courses. Tyler has also found residence at Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute as a Cyber Security Exercise Developer, where he teaches, trains, and certifies cyber defenders from multiple branches of the United States Military. Tyler's experience in the field of cyber security and passion for teaching work together to drive him toward excellence as both an instructor and a cyber security engineer.
